Blue Zones Certified!

We are happy to announce that St. Elizabeth Seton is now a Blue Zones certified school! In addition to our challenging academic curriculum, faith education, and emphasis on self-less service, our goal was to create greater awareness of the importance of physical health and wellness for our students. Thus, we hope to improve the overall quality of life for everyone in our community. We began this initiative last year partnering with Naples Community Hospital in their Blue Zones project. BZ focuses on 9 key components to living a healthy and balanced life with focus on family and community, good nutrition, physical movement, faith and purpose. We are happy to be part of this community-wide effort. Stay tuned for information on our ribbon cutting ceremony coming soon!

Back to School Means Back to Mass

Now that summer vacations are over and school is underway, we emphasize the importance of families attending mass each Sunday. The renewal and fresh start of the school year is also an opportunity to renew and deepen our faith through regular attendance at Mass as a family. Our students look up to us (educators and parents) as examples of living our faith and consistently practicing what we preach. It is important they see us place mass as a priority in our lives and in theirs—Jesus at the center. The commitment you have made to Catholic education should also be supported by your commitment to your parish.

TV Mass

Students participated in the diocesan TV Mass tapings as an outreach for the sick and homebound. The Masses will be aired on Sept. 1 and Sept. 22 at 10:30am on WFTX-TV Fox 4. TV Masses are available for viewing at dioceseofvenice.org.

Chorus Starting 9/4

We happy to announce we will once again have a Chorus for grades 4-8! Last year, Chorus students were able to sing at the Christmas and Spring concerts, as well as at an Everblades game, and we look forward to doing similar fun performances this year. Starting on Wed., September 4 we will have Chorus every Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30-8:00 am in the music classroom. If your student is interested in chorus or you have any questions, please contact Ms. Ashley Watson at watson@seseton.org

Ukulele Club Starting 9/5

For the first time, we will have a Ukulele Club for grades 4-8 thanks to the generous donation of 30 ukuleles by an anonymous donor! Ukulele Club will be involved in multiple different performances throughout the school year. Ukulele Club will meet on Thursdays starting September 9th after school from 3:05-3:50pm. If your student is interested in ukulele club or you have any questions, please contact Ms. Ashley Watson at watson@seseton.org
