Mystic Monk Fundraiser

By August 29, 2019 No Comments

Dear Parents,

Back by popular demand, Mystic Monk Coffee sales will be held on a regular basis through the school year. Portions of our sales will help the middle school Religion department for such things as the N.E.T Retreat, field trips, and other supplementary materials needed for learning our faith.

In a mountain valley in Wyoming, a small group of Carmelite Monks were looking for a way to support their growing community. After much discernment and prayer, the monks had the inspiration to start roasting coffee and selling the beans online. The first samples were roasted on a cast-iron skillet in the monastery kitchen and in 2007, Mystic Monk Coffee was born. The monks sell coffee and teas in a variety of packaging. Please take a moment to peruse the September catalogue. The special seasonal coffee flavor for September is Pumpkin Spice.

Our first order deadline is Monday, September 9th. All checks should be made out to St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School. The school will write one check to the monks for our order.

Thank you in advance for your love and support of our middle schoolers!

Mr. Ganse

National Evangelization Teams

NET Ministries challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. Every August, 175 young Catholics aged 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school, family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET).

Divided into 16 teams, they travel across the U.S. for nine months to share the Gospel with young people and their families. Since 1981, NET teams have led over 32,000 retreats and ministered to more than 1.9 million young Catholics.

NET Ministries fulfills its mission by:

  • Proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith
  • Inviting young people to live for Christ
  • Equipping youth workers and young adults with the ministry skills needed for evangelization
