IOWA Testing – 2nd – 8th Grade
Standardized testing will begin on Monday, March 5th. The best preparation for testing is to make sure your child(ren) get ample rest during this time, eat breakfast in the morning, and bring a light snack to school. Please make every effort to have your children to school by 8:00 a.m. Late students will not be permitted to enter their classroom tardy. There will be NO school mass on Wednesday 3/7 so the children can stay focused on the test.
Portable Classroom Updates
Dear Seton Families,
I’m most appreciative of your flexibility and cooperation as we plan for our move into the portable classrooms. I’m also aware that the indecisiveness of when we are moving and the need to cancel classes has caused frustration. Permitting, inspections, plumbing, electric, IT, telephones, fire alarm system, and safety procedures all need to be in place before we can move. With this is mind a decision of when to move has been made. Movers will be at Seton on Wednesday, March 28th and classes for the day will be canceled. This is the day before the scheduled Easter Break. Essentially, we’re adding one day to Easter vacation. Families who are traveling may choose to get a jump start on their plans. School will be in session as originally planned on Friday, 3/9 and our next day off in March will be Wednesday 3/28. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

My child will not be at school today
Please refer to p.10 in our handbook about Reporting Absences/Tardies. We have an increased number of students who are absent from school without any notification to the teacher or the office. As you know regular attendance at school is important and we ask you to partner with us in following the procedures.
Our New School Accountant
Please join me in welcoming our new school accountant Ms. Elaine Pearce. Ms. Pearce will begin at St. Elizabeth Seton this Monday, March 5th. Please feel free to stop in and say hello.
