Mystic Monk Coffee Orders due

Thank you for celebrating CSW with us…what a great week!

Many thanks to our awesome faculty and staff for providing all the fun and enriching activities for our students during Catholic Schools Week. We are so grateful to HASA, parent volunteers, Father Casey and parish staff for assisting us with all our community events during the week. We collected numerous food items for our service project on behalf of Catholic Charities Weekend Power Pack and as always, appreciate the great generosity of our Seton families. We were delighted to welcome so many Grandparents/Special Friends for Grandparents Day and will be sending home photos of the day with students next week.

We had a great turnout for our Night in Italy Dinner & Show and thank Paul Todd and PJ for supporting our school with an outstanding concert. Our 1st and 2nd grade student performance was terrific! The delicious dinner was provided by Gina’s Café in Naples and hosted by HASA.

We also thank our Career Day speakers for inspiring students: Naples Mayor Bill Barnett, Brittany Van Voorhees-WINK Meteorologist, Matthew Allen, Architect-MHK Architecture, Larry Rechlin, Physical Therapist, Rosanne Rechlin, RN-St. William, Natalie Ashby, Collier County Deputy, Radu Papinou, Assoc. Conductor & Dir. Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and Allyson Holland, Prof. Engineer Deputy Dir.- Naples Utilities.

Mystic Monk Coffee available through Feb. 7

We continue our coffee fundraising efforts benefiting the middle school N.E.T. Retreat taking place April 28. Our catalog is updated with February’s Flavor of the Month: Chocolate Cherry. Checks are payable to St. Elizabeth Seton School for all orders. Sale deadline is Friday, Feb. 7th.

Our middle school students thank you in advance. Not only do you support us with your purchase, but you also help the Carmelite monks who roast and brew the coffee. Supporting two in one shot…blessings from heaven!

Mark Your Calendar – Parent Presentation Wed. Feb. 12 6pm in the Cafeteria

Representatives from the Prevention Team at the David Lawrence Center will address parents about the dangers of vaping and challenges of social media. Please join this important discussion and learn ways to protect your child from these powerful negative influences that pervade today’s culture. Statistics show that vaping among tweens and early teens has increased exponentially, and more children than ever also are at risk of dangerous online behavior. Presenters will cover vaping products, physical effects on the body and risks of addiction. They also will discuss consequences of excessive screen time, online bullying and numerous popular apps that can disguise inappropriate communication.

This session is open to parents of children of all ages, but especially important for middle school parents. Please plan to come and learn about these serious issues that can affect physical, mental and spiritual health. Call 239-455-2262 for further information.

Re-enrollment for 2020-2021 School Year

Thank you to current families who have submitted re-registration materials for the 2020-2021 school year and have taken advantage of the early bird discount. If you haven’t yet re-registered, please do so as soon as possible to help us plan for a great school year ahead.

New Information for families currently enrolled in the Florida Empowerment Scholarship

The school will re-enroll students automatically for 2020-2021 AFTER receiving the 2020-2021 registration form and fee. Please notify Ms. Pearce, school accountant, if you are not planning to continue using the FES. If a family has a current student on the FES and would like to add a sibling who would qualify, they should not complete a SUFS online application, instead a form will be emailed to eligible families by SUFS the first week of February.

Step Up for Students Scholarship

Applications for renewal families are open. SUFS Renewal families have priority processing until February 29, 2020. Families interested in applying for SUFS for the first time are encouraged to sign up for the interest list on the Step Up website. https://www.stepupforstudents.org/for-parents/parent-login/
