BLUE ZONES PROJECT
Blue Zones are regions of the world where people live much longer than average because of their healthy lifestyles. The term first appeared in the November 2005 National Geographic magazine cover story, “The Secrets of a Long Life” by Dan Beuttner, who identified five geographic areas where people live statistically longest. The concept grew from work done by demographers Gianni Pes and Michel Poulain, who drew concentric blue circles on world maps which were longevity hotspots. They referred to the areas inside the circles as the Blue Zones.

The Blue Zones Project is transforming communities around the USA into areas where healthy choices are easy and enable people to live longer with a higher quality of life. In keeping with our gradual conversion to a Blue Zone school, we would like students to refrain from bringing soda or candy in their lunches. More information will follow soon on the principles of healthy living as they are outlined in the Blue Zone project.

SCHOOL CHORUS
After school chorus begins on Thursday, August 16th for grades 4-8. Rehearsals will be from 3:00-4:00 every Thursday unless otherwise noted. Please contact Ms. Watson at watson@seseton.org if you have any questions.

St. Elizabeth Seton School is excited to introduce a new aftercare program. Discounted rates are being offered for flat rate monthly and weekly fees. Daily drop in rates are also available. ALL PAYMENTS will be processed through your FACTS prepayment account. Set up your account and deposit funds prior to your student using aftercare.
