IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR NEW TEMPORARY CLASSROOMS
Tomorrow we begin school in the portable classrooms. We are excited to see everyone, share the new classrooms with our students and families. Please refer to procedures for drop off and pick up beginning tomorrow. Phones are currently not ringing in the office; they are going to voicemail. Tomorrow they will be transferred over and begin ringing once again. In case of an emergency please call 239-348-5980, which is our Seton aftercare cell phone, which is in the school office. You may also call the parish office after 9AM. Mass is canceled this week as work is being completed in the church from Wednesday-Friday. Finally, for those picking up children from aftercare, please park your cars by the east side of the parish center and enter the aftercare rooms by the side closest to the gym. Thanks for your flexibility!
IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS
It is the time of year where decisions for financial assistance scholarships are determined. Should you like to be considered for a scholarship please make sure to enroll or reenroll in the FACTS tuition management system. It is a requirement of the Diocese of Venice that all families attending schools set up a FACTS account. The information provided will be used to determine funds available for financial assistance. Even if you believe you don’t qualify for grant & aid, I encourage you to do so through the FACTS tuition management system. To be considered for a scholarship please set up or reenroll for a FACTS account AND apply for grant & aid as soon as possible. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the school.
4/10/18 – Sunshine State Young Readers’ Award Voting
Collier County Elections Office will be visiting Seton with the voting machines to allow students to vote for their favorite title. Students from PK 3 – 8th grade who read at least 3 books will be eligible to cast their vote! The winning book titles will be announced in next week’s EBlast.
4/11/18 – Christian Character Award Recognition
The Christian Character Award Recipients will be recognized in a school-wide assembly on Wednesday, April 11th at 2:50 p.m. in the Seton Gym. Families are welcome to attend this assembly.
½ Day Friday, April 13th
As listed on the school calendar there is a ½ day for teacher professional development. Dismissal will be at Noon and aftercare is provided until 5:30.
4/18/18 – Volunteer Brunch! R.S.V.P. Needed
Calling all volunteers! The annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch will be on Wednesday, April 18th. We invite you to come to attend Mass with us at 9:00 a.m. The brunch will take place directly after Mass. Seton girls may choose any special person in their lives to attend this evening of dancing. This magical night will take place at the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish Center. There is still time to earn your Seton volunteer hours. Information was sent home with every family last week. We ask that our families donate 20 hours throughout the school year. Those hours can be earned by a combination of helping at events and purchasing items for events (i.e. water bottles etc.). There are more volunteer opportunities available before the end of the school year including: items needed for the Father & Daughter Dance, event helpers for the Father & Daughter Dance, assistance with the SES Uniform Closet, lunchroom assistance, and attending the monthly HASA Meetings. 5/11/18 – Annual AR Fair
The Annual AR Fair will be taking place on Friday, May 11th in the Seton Gym. Diocese approved volunteers are needed for set up on Thursday, May 10th (3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and Friday, May 11th (9:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.). Please look for a Sign-Up Genius email very soon where you can sign up to assist on this day. If you are not an approved volunteer, you can still earn volunteer hours by donating the following: soda cans, water bottles, individual bags of chips, premade bags of cotton candy, and large bags of tortilla chips.
