12 Days of Giving (12/4/17 – 12/19/17)

Seton will be collecting items daily for homeless elementary students living in Collier County, which will help them sustain through the weekend when school meals are not available. The Weekend Power Pack Food Program of Catholic Charities here in Collier County will disseminate the food to families in need. We will be collecting a different item each day. All items should be individually sized and wrapped, just like you would pack in a lunch box. Donations should be brought to prayers each morning. NJHS and Student Council will collect the food items. Students are encouraged to donate on as many days as they would like! A flyer will be coming home today for your refrigerator and attached to this Eblast as well.

St. Elizabeth Seton’s annual Christmas Concert Thursday, December 14th at 6:00 pm

St. Elizabeth Seton’s annual Christmas Concert will be held in the gymnasium on Thursday, December 14th starting at 6:00 pm. Every student in the school will be involved in some way and attendance is mandatory! Please have your student here, with their instrument if needed, and ready to go by 5:45 pm. All elementary school grades will perform songs learned in their General Music class; 4th, 5th, and Middle School band will perform short pieces; Aim High students will be acting as MC’s for the event; and Life Skills students will be acting as ushers and stage crew.

Concert dress will be our Sunday Best! This means that there is no need to be in uniform, but should keep in mind this is a school function! Holiday festive is preferred. Please do not arrive wearing spaghetti straps or heals. Gentlemen must wear ties. Reader’s Theater/Drama students should be prepared to wear their costumes for the skit. Life Skills students are wearing all black, although a festive accessory is welcome!

Students are not permitted to bring their cell phones. They must be left either with a parent or at home. Any cell phones or other electronic devices will be confiscated and the appropriate consequences will be given. Please contact Ms. Ashley Watson (watson@seseton.org ) if you have any questions.

This year at the Christmas Concert we will be collecting toy donations for Catholic Charities! The “Giving Tree” will be set up in the gymnasium the night of the concert where anyone can donate a small toy or present that will go to a family in need. We know that with how hard Hurricane Irma hit our school, homes, and community it is easy to focus on our needs, but we want to give back and share the message of Christ this holiday season! Please contact Ashley Watson (watson@seseton.org ) if you have any questions.
