Start them Off Well

PreK3 & PreK4

Our school offers a comprehensive developmental and faith based preschool program for three and four-year-old children. Students learn “pre-skills” which lay the groundwork for learning for the future.

We teach “school readiness” for a future that comes too soon.

Through their social interactions, playing, singing, and participation in a variety of activities, preschoolers gain skills which ultimately help them to learn to read and write, as well as to build math and science skills. They also learn “school readiness” skills which help them to understand school routines and expectations for working individually and in groups.

Preschool classrooms are often organized by centers, or areas that are divided by different subjects and types of play. There may be centers for exploring books, counting and sorting objects, arts and crafts, building things and pretend play.

The day is structured with time for free choice, during which children can choose which centers to play in, as well as structured time that is devoted to a variety of subjects which help them develop important cognitive skills.

Preschoolers learn a lot through fun and games. Research has documented that the development of early literacy and math skills in preschool is associated with future school achievement in both areas. The positive attitude and enthusiasm of preschoolers goes a long way in helping them become successful students.
