Farewell Mr. Lyell

By December 20, 2018No Comments

Dear Seton Family,

As we begin our Christmas break, look forward to the second half of the school year, and new bathrooms in the elementary school, there is a change that we would like to announce. Mr. Billy Lyell will not be returning to complete the 2018-2019 school year.

As many of you know, Mr. Lyell began a new business venture this past summer and the business required more time than he originally anticipated. Due to the demands of the business, he felt he could no longer give 100% to our school. We are sad to see him leave and appreciate the time he gave to St. Elizabeth Seton School over the past 3 ½ years. We wish him all the best as he continues to build his business. We do not consider this goodbye but “see you around” as he will be at his gym and a number of you will see him there.

We are working very hard to find a suitable replacement for Mr. Lyell and feel we are very close to doing just that. We should have our new teacher in place by our return to school on January 8, 2019. Our new middle school teacher will take over where Mr. Lyell left off and teach Social Studies and on-level math. Additionally, he/she will also be our new 7th grade homeroom teacher.

Mr. Snyder has agreed to see our 8th graders through the last half of the school year as their homeroom teacher.

Please join me in saying farewell to Mr. Lyell and wishing him all the best. We look forward to continuing our rigorous programs and our excellence in faith and education here at Seton. Merry Christmas to you all.

Blessings,

Mrs. Maria Niebuhr, M.Ed.
Principal
