A message from Coach Tenbarge
It is out of LOVE for the students and families at SES that I write this letter. While on morning drop off duty on 53rd Terrace SW, I have noticed some dangerous driving. I have witnessed the following:

-Drivers texting while the vehicle is in motion.
-Vehicles making 3 point turns in the middle of the road.
-Vehicles making 3 point turns in the parking lot entrance.
-Vehicles running the stop sign exiting the parking lot.
-Vehicles using private driveways to turn around.
-Vehicles stopping in the middle of the road to drop off children.
-Children exiting the vehicle on the side of the road.
-Vehicles pulling into the road after dropping off children and not looking for vehicles coming from the rear.
-Vehicles entering the drop off area at high rates of speed.
-Vehicles entering the sidewalk and grass area to drop off children (This is where the children and adults walk).

So, it is out of LOVE that I ask you to practice safe driving habits. PLEASE use the local streets and blocks to get your vehicle turned in the correct direction for drop off. PLEASE refrain from texting while your car is in motion. PLEASE be courteous of others. Lastly, please be aware of your surrounding and think of how the safety of our children is something that we, as a team, are responsible for. Thank you for your cooperation! Merry Christmas!
